Its’ about me
Hi! I’m Ganell. My life is fill with family, friends and fabrics. Some new, some old. I love to create using my ever growing stash. My passion for fabrics has led me down many roads. From dressmaking into Art quilting and mixed media arts. I enjoy creating art and comtemporary patchwork quilts, fiber post cards, unique wearables and paper arts to named a few.
I am addicted to lustous fabrics, vintage textiles, beautiful buttons and trims. I learned to sew with them when I was very young. I have been blessed with a very supportive family who encourages my craft. I have two adorable grandsons, who are my biggest fans. They like all my projects even if I don’t.
With cloth being the basic element to the pieces that I create, to me this is not a means to an end. It is a beginning. I like to work with beautiful papers also. I enjoy creating collages with both fabrics and paper. I will showcase some of my projects, some experiments, some successes and a few of my failed projects too.
